Mexico 2011

July of 2010 was a defining moment that changed my heart forever, because it was my first mission trip. Not just my first mission trip to Mexico, but my first mission trip ever. It was even my first time out of the country!

To say the trip 2010 changed my life would be a vast understatement. Before the trip I didn't want to really go. Since my 2010 trip Mexico is on my heart all the time. For an entire year I counted the days until my 2011 trip!

The 2011 trip was, once again an amazing time. We were able to minister to groups of women and children as well as take part in a local pastor's conference and go out to surrounding churches to preach the gospel and bring encouragement.

Our church has been travelling to the area of Ixmiquilpan, Mexico for over a decade and each time it is a new experience. On this trip we were able to visit new churches in areas we have not been before.

On a personal level, these trips have fundamentally changed my life. Since going on my first trip in 2010, God has stirred my heart greatly for Mexico. In the last year and half we have started a Hispanic outreach team, hosted Hispanic youth conferences at our church and become members of our church's world missions team. I am slowly trying to pick up some Spanish and excited to see what God has in store for our future trips!

I urge each person reading this to get involved in missions. There are so many ways to do that! Find missionaries to pray for. Give financially to our (or other) mission trip (giving button at the top of this page for our future trips) or BECOME A MISSIONARY YOURSELF! If God is calling you out, whether its all the way around the world, or just in your neighborhood, school or office, LISTEN AND OBEY! You will be forever changed!

Mexico 2010

THANK YOU! What an amazing time we had in Ixmiquilpan, Mexico this summer. It was truly an awesome mission trip that has changed my life forever. I cannot wait for next year and the opportunity to go again. In fact, my wife and I are exploring options for Hispanic ministry in our area.
